"A long windy road"
In the last couple of photograph's i have been looking at the theme of Austerity.
Austerity can have two meanings :

The last photograph including the one above, i have captured Austerity through the second definition which is extreme plainness and simplicity.
The photograph of the park was taken whilst experimenting with psychogeography and it caught my attention in quite a humorous way. The park is so dull and empty that it becomes strange to believe that somebody can even name this place a park when all it has in a swing. The fact that the park is named "play area" becomes confusing to think someone can play at this plain, bland simplified area which relates to Austerity in a style concept.
The photograph above i took at a place called Jubilee tower which over looks lancaster. The place is very quiet and the simplicity of the windy road and the plainness of the fields give's a feel of emptiness as if no one is around except the car that is in focus in the distance.
For this photograph i explored into using Manual focus. This is something that i have never used before but was something i really enjoyed using and i hope to develop my skills further with it. Being able to choose what you want to be in focus in your photograph is really important and can change the aesthetics of the photograph completely. For this photograph i made the depth of field very long and chose to make the object in the left hand corner out of focus.
